There are rumors that there will be new additions to the Velvet Lip Kit Collection. As mentioned in my previous post, click here, these were the original Velvets. Now they are adding three new shades: “Strawberry Cream” “Poison Berry” and “Grape Soda”
Which one do you lippie lovers love?? I personally feel like I must own “Grape Soda” lol
Everyone loves a great find and I think these highlighters not only look great but have been getting good reviews and even better are super affordable!
You probably might have seen this one all over social media and them selling like hot cakes on Amazon but it is looking like Maybelline’s Master Chrome in “Molten Gold” is worth it! It is actually infused with reflective pigments that give a bold glow in a soft powder formula. Just look at the swatches for yourself: (check out my fashion IG too please and thank you- 😉 @mosquerastylesyou)
I do not know if you have heard or actually even tried e.l.f. cosmetics but if you have only seen them but not tried them you have to give them a try! I know their price tags for some may make you skeptical but there quality is actually good and some products can even be compared to more expensive brands for just about the same quality. That being said I am not completely surprised but pleasantly impressed to see their new highlighter (yes it has taken awhile since their last highlighter but it looks like its definitely worth the wait): the latest “Baked Highlighter” : “Apricot Glow” This peach color looks gorgeous and at this price of just $4 I just have to try it myself as well!
I know that I definitely do! Jeffree Star is making my summer this summer with the release of the Lipstick Vault! This Limited Edition Lipstick Vault will have a total of but not limited to 13 lippies! The collection will also include his famous Skin Frost highlighters! It will be including 8 Velour Liquid Lipsticks, which will be 6 Mattes and 2 Metallics! It will also include 5 Lip Ammunition Satin lipsticks. 3 Vegan Lip Scrubs, and 2 new Chrome Skin Frost highlighters! Unfortunately, the shades nor the names have not been released yet but when I find them out you know I will keep you all updated! What I do know is that it is being released June, mid-June to be more specific. I will let you know of exact date when I find out.
For now hope you enjoy the pics I was able to find, just look at the cute baby pink chrome packaging:
And just look at the vault box! This is definitely a NEED:
There have been rumors of Rihanna coming out with her very own makeup! Well just recently she was seen wearing it for the first time, in this pic below during the Fenty Puma pop up shop event in LA this past week! She herself said that “It’s mine, it’s a secret until September!” when asked which highlighter she was wearing. (Please check my fashion & beauty Instagram for the video!)
Welcome Rihanna into the makeup world; The Fenty Beauty line will officially be a part of the makeup world in September! The first place you will be seeing Fenty Beauty will be at a Sephora near you!
From the video, the highlighter that Rihanna had on that day seems like a pinky pearlescent. I also have a picture of a teaser of what their lip color may be! Any more updates that I find out about I will be letting you ladies know so stay tuned!
I first learned about Huda Beauty through my obsession with matte liquid lipsticks. They have a great collection of liquid lipsticks (each for $20)! They are also famous for their Textured Shadows palette Rose Gold Edition which you may have seen all over Instagram! Now she has added highlighters to her line but not just any highlighter, 3D highlighter, that actually comes with steps!
Before I get into the steps I wanted to explain how there are two editions: The Gold Sands Edition and the Pink Sands Edition.
Fun Fact: Each shade name was inspired by beaches from all over the world!
The Pink Sands Edition is for fair to medium complexions with the names: Capri, Santorini, Azores, and Ibiza. The Golden Sands Edition is for medium to dark complexions with the names: Fiji, Seychelles, Tahiti, and Zanzibar. Below are the swatches on different shades of skin:
1. First, you will need to Prep by applying from the top left corner of palette “Melted Strobe” to your cheekbones. This “melted strobe” creates a smooth base and is made with creamy shea butter and pearlescent finish.
2. Second, apply the lightest on your cheeks as your bonus glow.
3. Next, you can sculpt by taking the darkest shade and swiping it blow your cheekbone as if contouring.
4. Lastly, you can finish your look by sweeping the blush colored shade on line where your light and dark shades meet and blend it all together.
Isn’t this genius? Not only does this palette seem to blind with its highlights but it also contours! This palette is priced at $45 and I honestly think it is worth it for what it does! You can find buy it here from their website directly.
If you are into highlighters as am I then you would know that one of the top highlighter brands is BECCA! This brand is famous for most of their products containing shimmer but not that glitter type of shimmer but more like that shine from within type look that everyone loves or what people call that “BECCA Glow.” I have their famous Backlight Priming Filter and I absolutely love the glow effect that it leaves. You can even wear it by itself.
BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in “Rose Gold” (which is actually Chrissy’s favorite) | New Luminous Blush in “Hibiscus Bloom” (golden pink coral) | New Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in “Beach Nectar” (juicy apricot shade infused with gold) | and their New Sunlit Bronzer in “Malibu Soleil” (medium amber for that “sun-kissed look”
Release date has not been announced yet but you know that once I know, you will know! The price for the palette will be $46.
Also going on at MAC, just in time for the Summer, MAC is collaborating with International beauty influencers! You may have seen their makeup videos, Laura Lee from Alabama and Gabriel Zamora, Mexican descent, from LA.
So Laura Lee’s special-edition lipstick “MAC x LarLarLee” is quoted to be a “universally flattering neutral-pink shade and matte finish.”
Gabriel Zamora’s special-edition lipstick “MAC x Gabriel Zamora” is a beautiful warm brown nude in a satin finish and is said to “bound to stun on women and men alike.”
Just look at these beautiful swatches:
Release date will be April 20th! And the price, each for: $17!
MAC must have gotten a great response from their first release of their Lip Duos because they are doing it again! I wrote about MAC’s first “Deep Shades” just a couple of weeks ago.
You will not find this on the MAC website just yet, I myself found out through social media but of course I want to share with you ladies to you up to date. This time MAC will be releasing their nude shades for the “5 Shades for 5 days.” These are their “Deep Nude” series. I am listing them all, lipstick with lip liner, as included in the lip kits or as MAC would call them, Lip Duos. “Antique Velvet” lipstick with “Chestnut” lip pencil, “Persistence” lipstick with “Spice” lip pencil, “Paramount” lipstick with “Mahogany” lip pencil, “Yash Velvet” lipstick with “Stripdown” lip pencil, and “Photo” lipstick with “Cork” lip pencil. I believe that each Lip Duo is the same price before, $29.00 ($34.50 value).
Soo it looks like MAC has been inspired by how Kylie has done with her lip kits because for the next 5 days (til the 27th) you can vamp it up with 5 of their deepest shades, partnered by matching lip liners!
Click on each for more deets on their names!
Get it today before the days run out! Shop HEREand NOW! (You can find these on their official site but you can also find these duos at Nordstrom)
Kat Von D dropped the news last week but I thought that it deserved to be set aside for #MakeupMonday ! I also wanted to get every little bit of detail I can get on them for you ladies! Every person that is into liquid lipsticks must know about Kat Von D’s; I actually got into her brand when “Lolita” was all the rage and just had to try it for myself. I must say I did like the quality and application of her liquid lipsticks. They are high pigmented and I didn’t have to worry about the piling when I had to reapply after eating.
& now to find out that she is going to be releasing lip liners to go exactly with one of my fave Everlasting liquid lipsticks?! My expectations: that these lip liners be as pigmented as their lipsticks.
Below are some great pics because they show the names of each and just look at the beautiful colors! She has a large range of nudes and bright colors!
They are said to launch on April 11th! So make sure to check online @ Sephora or on her own website as well here!
